Excellence in Plastic Surgery

Alastair is a fully accredited Consultant Plastic Surgeon on the GMC Specialist Register in Plastic Surgery.  He has been a Consultant since 2012 and in private practice since 2013.  He has performed a high number of cosmetic surgeries with great results.   Alastair holds Specialist Fellowships in Cosmetic and Hand Surgery. He has travelled the world to train with some of the best surgeons in America, Canada and Europe.  He is the Representative for Scottish Plastic Surgeons on BAAPS council, and shares BAAPS strong belief in patient safety and ethical cosmetic surgery.

Originally from Ayr, Alastair studied Medicine in Edinburgh. He won prizes in Surgery and Anatomy and graduated with Honours in 1999.  He did his basic medical and surgical training in Edinburgh and Glasgow.  Next he did a medical research doctorate in Edinburgh. He then returned to Plastic Surgery Training in Manchester and Canniesburn, Glasgow.  Alastair completed his 6 year Registrar training in North East England, working in Newcastle, Durham and Middlesbrough before Fellowships and starting as a Consultant.
